IRVING, Texas - Middle Tennessee junior Tiffany William was named the Conference USA Female Tennis Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
The London, England native kept her unbeaten singles streak alive with a pair of victories at the No. 1 position. William picked up straight-set victories over Austin Peay's Andra Cornea and Lipscomb's Deahna Welcher and is now 5-0 in singles matches this season.
She also teamed with Jesse Grace to win both doubles matches as the Blue Raiders improved to 4-1 on the season. This is William's first C-USA Tennis Athlete of the Week honor and the first for a Blue Raider this season.
"This is a great honor for Tiffany and much deserved because of the hard work she put in during the offseason to be prepared for a successful season," said head coach Shelley Godwin.
Middle Tennessee returns to action this weekend with matches against ETSU and Winthrop.
