The Blue Raiders will take every player as their will also be an individual tournament at the Magnolia Grove Falls Golf Course (par 71, 7,158 yards). The top five for Head Coach Whit Turnbow will be Brett Patterson, Payne Denman, Andrew Cho, Jordan Jennings, and Lucas Armstrong. Newcomer Connor Slane and Sam Thompson will play in the individual tournament while Drake Duncan will sit out with an injury.
"This has been the most difficult winter I can remember," said Turnbow. "Without the Jeff Hendrix Indoor Facility we would not be remotely prepared for Monday's tournament. The putting area, hitting bays, and all of our golf related equipment has been in full use this winter.
"We had three very intense qualifiers and two came down to the final hole on the last day. I like that because it prepares us better for competition and the challenges that are in front of us. We are excited to get started and look forward to playing in some nice weather."
Patterson led the way in the fall with a 73.3 stroke average, including a low round of 65. Denman was next for the Blue Raiders with a 74.7 average followed closely by Jennings at 74.8.
The Blue Raiders won the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate in 2011 and 2012 while former star Jason Millard owns the 54-hole low score of 205. Millard is currently competing on the Web.com Tour.
The Blue Raiders will play a practice round on Sunday before teeing up the spring season on Monday morning. Live stats will be available at GolfStat.com.
