Middle Tennessee returned to the Associated Press Top 25 Women's Basketball poll after a two week hiatus. The Blue Raiders re-entered the poll at No. 23 on Monday.
Since having its 17-game win streak snapped at Southern Miss on Feb. 5, the Blue Raiders (23-4, 12-1 Conference USA) have won five consecutive games to climb back into the AP poll. The Blue Raiders have ranked as high as No. 21 in this year's poll.
Middle Tennessee picked up a pair of home wins over Marshall and Charlotte last week. With three games remaining, the Raiders are in first place with a two-game lead.
On Wednesday, MT takes on East Carolina in a critical C-USA showdown. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT in Greenville, N.C. The Raiders close out the home slate on Saturday with a 3 p.m. tilt against UAB as part of Blue Pride Saturday.
