MT takes on No. 43 TCU

Raiders travel to Fort Worth for Saturday match

FORT WORTH, Texas - The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team (5-9) travels to the Lone Star State when it faces No. 43 TCU on Saturday in Fort Worth.

The Blue Raiders take the court Saturday having won two of three matches in Murfreesboro last weekend. MT defeated Jackson State, 7-0, on Friday afternoon and downed Murray State, 6-0, on Sunday afternoon. The Raiders fell to No. 25 Memphis, 6-1, in their other match Sunday.

Freshman Aaron Jumonville won all three of his singles matches on the weekend, in addition to taking one of two doubles matches (doubles were not played in the Murray State match.) The Nashville native is 5-6 in singles play this spring, in addition to an 8-4 mark in doubles matches played alongside junior Yannick Born.

The Horned Frogs went 1-1 a week ago, downing No. 32 Pepperdine and falling to No. 20 Cal. TCU is 7-5 on the spring.

Following Saturday's match, the Blue Raiders will return to action on Friday, March 20, when they host Austin Peay at Buck Bouldin Tennis Center.
