Miller named TSWA Player of the Week

NASHVILLE - Middle Tennessee senior 1B Trent Miller was named the Baseball Player of the Week by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association on Tuesday after his performances from March 10-16.
Miller batted .563 (9-for-16) with three doubles, one home run and six RBI in four games for the Blue Raiders, helping the club to a weekend sweep of Charlotte. The Kansas City, Mo., native doubled against Tennessee on Tuesday and then posted eight hits in 12 at-bats in the weekend series versus the 49ers.
The senior first baseman collected two doubles in the series opener and added two more hits and two RBI in Saturday's first game. Miller went 4-for-5 with four RBI, including a two-run homer in the seventh, in the series finale.
Miller is batting .384 with seven doubles and 16 RBI in 19 games this season. Middle Tennessee travels to New Orleans for a three-game Conference USA series against Tulane this weekend.
