Middle Tennessee women's tennis honors lone senior Flavia Nagayama on Sunday for the Blue Raiders' annual Senior Day and final home match of the year. MT takes old Sun Belt foe Troy in an 11 a.m. first serve at the Buck Bouldin Tennis Complex. If rainy weather interrupts, the event will move to Nashboro Village in Nashville.

The Blue Raiders (7-5, 2-1 Conference USA) are coming off a 5-2 victory over Florida Atlantic. Junior Tiffany William leads squad with a 10-2 record in dual matches this season. Nayara Moraes and Irina Constantinide also have eight victories each to lead MT.

Nagayama has guided the Raiders to 34 wins in her three seasons after transferring from Jacksonville University. Her 58 career wins is near the school's all-time top-10 wins list. The Sao Paolo, Brazil native will complete her degree in Marketing.

"Sunday is a special day as we will honor the career of our lone senior Flavia Nagayama," said head coach Shelley Godwin. "Flavia has been a great teammate throughout her time at MT and has been a rock in our lineup."

Troy (8-6) has won six out of its last seven matches, including a 7-0 shutout over Alabama State on Friday. Anja Cosovic leads the Trojans with an 11-2 mark at the No. 3 position. Meanwhile, Cosovic and No. 1 singles player Trang Huynh have combined for a 10-2 record as the Trojans' top doubles tandem.

"The match with Troy is going to be highly competitive," noted Godwin. "This is exactly what we need leading up to the Conference USA Tournament in a few weeks."
