With just two weeks left in the regular season, the Middle Tennessee Women's Tennis team visits North Carolina for a pair of matches. On Friday, the Raiders will take on C-USA foe Charlotte in an 5 p.m. contest. MT completes the weekend on Saturday with an 11 a.m. first serve at UNCG.

The Blue Raiders (7-6, 2-1 Conference USA) look to rebound after a tough 5-2 loss to Troy on Sunday. Junior Tiffany William boasts a team-best 10-3 mark this season. Meanwhile, sophomore Irina Constantinide has won two straight matches for a 9-4 record in singles action. Nayara Moraes also holds a combined 9-4 mark while playing at the No. 2 and 3 positions.

Middle Tennessee and Charlotte meet for the second time. MT collected an 8-1 win over the 49ers on March 20, 1993 in Greenville, S.C. The 49ers (5-9, 0-1 C-USA) snapped a three-match losing skid with a 4-3 victory against Western Carolina. Macy Vonderschmidt was tabbed the Conference USA Athlete of the Week after earning her career-best sixth straight win. She is the 49ers' top singles player with a 7-5 mark.

The Spartans of UNCG (4-8, 2-1 SoCon) have dropped four out of their last five games. UNCG's lone win was a 6-1 decision over Wofford. Kayla Gammie leads the Spartans with a 6-6 record in duals this year. Gammie and Devon Sutherland have combined for a team-best 4-4 mark in doubles play. MT and the Spartans are meeting for the first time.

"This weekend will be a good test for us on the road against Charlotte and UNCG," noted head coach Shelley Godwin. "We need to continue taking small steps to get better as a team to finish the season strong."
