Raiders complete day one at Mason Rudolph Championship

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee men's golf completed the first 18 holes at the challenging Mason Rudolph Championship on Friday, sitting 12th in the field, at the par-71, 7,100 yard course at the Vanderbilt Legends Club.

Severe weather from the early morning hampered the Blue Raiders' original tee time delaying the start by a couple of hours. This weekend's tournament features 10 teams that are nationally ranked.

After day one of action, No. 1 Alabama put together a score of 281 for three-under par. No. 35 Kennesaw State carded 288 (+3), while No. 14 Vanderbilt and No. 76 College of Charleston were tied for third with a score of 289 (+5). The 53rd-ranked Raiders sat 12th with a score of 302 for 12-over par.

Junior Payne Denman led the Blue Raiders and finished tied for 19th in the field with a score of 73 for two-over par. Brett Patterson came in second on the team, carding 74 (+3) for 32nd. 

Andrew Cho posted a 77 (+6), while Lucas Armstrong and Jordan Jennings each notched a score of 78 (+7).
