ARLINGTON - Middle Tennessee women's tennis closed out the regular season with a 4-2 victory over Texas State on Saturday in a neutral site match at UT Arlington.

Due to inclement weather in the area, the two squads elected to play singles and did not play doubles because the Raiders (10-8) clinched the match with four individual victories. Texas State fell to 8-8 on the season with the loss.

Junior Nayara Moraes picked up her 65th career win with a 6-4, 6-1 decision over Ana Laura Gutierrez. The Bobcats tied the match when Shannon Beckett downed MT's Flavia Nagayama, 6-3, 6-3.

Jesse Grace won a three-set contest against Monica Pieratt, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 to secure the Raiders' second point. Freshman Sarah Sediri picked up a 7-6 (5), 6-3 straight-set victory over TSU's Katy Collins.

The junior William won her 15th match this spring with a 7-6 (6), 6-3 victory over Jessica Kahts. MT's Irina Constantinide fell 4-6, 7-6 (3), 4-4 (11-9) to give the Bobcats their second point of the year.
