Raiders complete the Mason Rudolph

Patterson leads Middle Tennessee for the weekend

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee men's golf completed the final day of the Mason Rudolph Championship with a score of 293 at the par-71, 7,100 yard course at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. The Blue Raiders finished ninth place overall with a score of 888.

Top-ranked Alabama won the 2014 Mason Rudolph with a score 847, finishing five under-par on the weekend. No. 14 Vanderbilt finished second by compiling 856 for four over-par. Louisville and Mercer tied for third with a score of 865 (+13). Middle Tennessee overcame a slow start on Friday to finish ninth with a pair of 293 scores on Saturday and Sunday. 

Junior Payne Denman led the Raiders on Sunday by carding even-par. The Riverwatch, Tenn., native finished second on the weekend with a score of 219. Brett Patterson completed the day one over-par to lead the Blue Raiders with team-best score of 218 for the week. His mark was 22nd individually.

Finishing third, Andrew Cho carded a 74 (+3) to score 225 and 42nd overall for the weekend. Jordan Jennings and Lucas Armstrong each posted a 76 (+5) to close out the weekend. Jennings recorded 227 to place 49th, while Armstrong inked 228 to finished 52nd.

MT resumes action next week, April 14-15, in Madison, Miss., for the BancorpSouth Intercollegiate.
