MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team closes out the spring 2014 regular season with a pair of home matches this weekend at Buck Bouldin Tennis Center, hosting a pair of teams from the American Athletic Conference in No. 25 USF and No. 60 UCF.

Middle Tennessee (9-12) split a pair of matches last weekend in Boise, Idaho, falling to host Boise State 4-1 on Saturday night before shutting out Utah State 4-0 on Sunday.

The Blue Raiders will open the weekend with USF (14-5) on Friday at 2 p.m. The Bulls have played their last nine matches against ranked opponents, going 7-2 during that stretch. Overall, USF has won nine of its last 11.

The 1969 Blue Raider team will be honored at Friday's match, a squad that made three trips to the Small College National Championships and featured two OVC Player of the Year award winners in Jean Prevost and Mike Albano.

Sunday's 10 a.m. start against No. 60 UCF (12-6) will be USTA Campus Kids Day. There will be pizza available, along with a tennis clinic after the match for kids 13 and under.

Live stats for both matches will be available through GoBlueRaiders.com.

Following the weekend's matches, the Blue Raiders will prepare for the Conference USA Championship, which begins Thursday, April 17 in Tulsa, Okla.
