Women's Tennis visits No. 31 Tennessee on Sunday

Blue Raiders play final match of regular season

Middle Tennessee women's tennis added a match to close out the regular season this weekend. The Blue Raiders visit No. 31 Tennessee in a 4 p.m. CT contest at Barksdale Stadium in Knoxville on Sunday.

The Blue Raiders (10-8) have won three out of their last five matches. MT came out victorious last Saturday with a 4-2 win over Texas State in Arlington. Tiffany William has an impressive 15-3 mark in single play this spring, as the Blue Raiders' top performer. The junior is in the midst of a five-match win streak. Earlier this year, she produced a team-long nine-match winning streak. With a victory this weekend, Nayara Moraes could move into a tie for seventh all-time with 66 career victories.

The Lady Vols (12-10) jumped 14 spots to No. 31 in the latest ITA Rankings. UT picked up a 4-3 win over No. 24 Auburn on Friday evening. Brittany Lindl leads the Lady Vols with a 14-8 record in dual singles. Tennessee owns a 16-0 all-time record against MT. The two squads last met Jan. 18, 2008 with UT prevailing, 7-0.

Middle Tennessee opens play at the Conference USA Championship next Wednesday, April 16 in Norfolk, Va. Live results and video of Sunday's match will be available online at UTSports.com.
