MT adds nine top-five finishes at TSU

Golden wins the triples jump

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee track & field teams added nine top-five finishes at the Boston-Moon Relays at Tennessee State Saturday.

Cordairo Golden was the lone Blue Raider to capture a first-place finish at TSU, winning the triple jump with a leap of 15.58-meters. Jamarious Jones added a second-place finish in the 800-meter with a season-best time of 1:57.75, while Demarcus Scalse finished fifth with a time of 1:58.27.

For the women's squad, Ashley Henry placed second in the 100-meter dash (12.56 seconds) and fifth in the 200-meter (25.71). In the 200, Jessica Howell led MT with a fourth place finish (25.67) and also placed fifth in the women's 100-meter hurdles (15.18), eighth in the high jump (1.47m) and fifth in the long jump (5.26m).

Middle Tennessee will compete again in the War Eagle Invitational April 18-19 in Auburn, Ala.
