IRVING, Texas - Middle Tennessee left-hander Zac Curtis was tabbed the Conference USA Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Curtis pitched complete game three-hit shutout over Old Dominion on Friday. The Hendersonville native matched a career-high with 11 strikeouts and faced two over the minimum in the victory.

His 98 strikeouts lead Conference USA and ranks second nationally behind Cal Poly's Matt Imhof's nation-best 101 punchouts. Curtis holds a 6-2 overall record in 11 starts this season. The weekly C-USA accolade is the second for Curtis. He was named Co-Pitcher of the Week on March 31 for his complete game performance against nationally-ranked Rice.

This week, Middle Tennessee (22-22, 11-10 C-USA) takes on Tennessee and Austin Peay in a pair of midweek contests. The Blue Raiders and Vols square off in a 5 p.m. CT matchup on Tuesday in Knoxville, while the Governors visit Murfreesboro for a 6 p.m. first pitch on Wednesday.
