IRVING, Texas - Conference USA announced its 2014 men's golf all-conference teams and specialty award winners following a vote by the league's head coaches. Middle Tennessee's Brett Patterson was placed on the first team, marking the third time in his career earning all-conference honors.

Patterson garnered first team honors after leading the Blue Raiders with a 73.0 stroke average. He was named the C-USA Golfer of the Week on Nov. 13 following a fourth-place finish at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational where he tied the school record with a 13-under 203 (67-71-65). Patterson's final-round 65 was a career-best performance, burying eight birdies. He has seven top-20 finishes in 10 events this season, tying for 15th at the C-USA Championship.

All 10 All-Conference USA honorees will play in an NCAA regional. Rice, Middle Tennessee and UAB were team selections along with individuals Franco Castro of Charlotte, Eric Brady of East Carolina, Victor Lange of Louisiana Tech, Matt Mabrey and Logan McCracken of Tulsa, and Martin Simonsen of UTEP.

The regionals will be conducted May 15-17 and the NCAA Championship will be held May 23-28 at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan. The Blue Raiders will be competing in the Columbia Regional.
