Gotcher to play in 38th U.S. Women's Amatuer Public Links

Blue Raider to make fourth attempt at championship

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee women's golfer Samantha Gotcher is slated to start stroke play at the 38th U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship at The Home Course in Dupont, Washington Monday, July 14.

The six-day golf tournament starts with two rounds of stroke play Monday and Tuesday, followed by four days of match play Wednesday through Saturday. Gotcher's scheduled start time for the first round is slated for 9:05 a.m. (PT) and she is grouped with Taylor Stockton and Sarah Cho. For the second round, the Clarksville, Tennessee native will tee off at 2:05 p.m. (PT).

Gotcher is taking her fourth attempt at the Public Links Championship, competing previously in the 2011-13 tournaments. Her best finish came at the 2012 championship, finishing tied for 66th with 6-over through two days on the par 72 course. In 2013 she finished tied for 114th with a 16-over, and in 2011 Gotcher tied for 100th with a 23-over par.
