DUPONT, Wash. - Middle Tennessee's Samantha Gotcher qualified for match play at the 2014 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship Tuesday, totaling a two-round 148 for a 4-over at The Home Course.

Gotcher finished tied for 60th after shooting an opening round 1-over 73, and followed that performance with a second round 3-over 75. The Clarksville, Tennessee native hit five birdies through the two rounds, including three on the second day. She parred the last five holes Tuesday to register a 3-over and advance to the round of 64.

Gotcher is slated to compete at 8:30 a.m. (PT) Wednesday against one-seed Eun Jeong Seong, who shot a 10-under 134 to lead the tournament field in stroke play. Seong notched a 8-under 64 in the second round, avoiding a bogey on her second day.

The 2014 championship is the first time that Gotcher has qualified for match play in her four attempts. She previously finished as high as 66th at the tournament with a 6-over in 2012.
