Lady Raiders Split First Day at Frost Classic

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee (6-5) split a pair of games Friday in the opening day of the Frost Classic on the campus of UT-Chattanooga.
In the morning game, the Lady Raiders dropped a 2-1 heartbreaker to Virginia Tech with the Hokies scoring in the bottom of the seventh to take the game. Junior Stayc Preator took the loss and falls to 1-3.
In the second game of the day, Middle Tennessee posted a 6-0 shutout on Tennessee Tech. Pitcher Jennifer Martinez picked up her fifth win of the year, with only one loss, throwing the three hit shutout. She also picked up her second homerun.
Middle Tennessee will continue action at the Frost Classic on Saturday as the Lady Raiders take on Arkansas at 12:15 p.m.
