MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The No. 62 ranked Lady Raider tennis (7-7) defeated UT-Chattanooga 7-0 Tuesday at Buck Bouldin Tennis Center.
Middle Tennessee opened the match by sweeping the doubles. At No. 2 doubles, Lady Raiders Verena Preiss and Jennifer Klaschka had to go into a tiebreaker to beat UTC's Catherine Allen and Cynthia Olevay 9-8 (7-3). Preiss also got a chance to play No. 2 singles and defeated Olevay 4-6, 7-5 (10-5).
Middle Tennessee will be back in action on March 17 when the Lady Raiders host Marshall University at noon at Buck Bouldin Tennis Center.
