HILTON HEAD, SC - Middle Tennessee women's tennis improved to 9-8 with a 7-0 blanking of Morgan State University Wednesday.
Lady Raider head coach Randy Holden shook up the lineup in doubles and Manon Kruse and Verena Preiss teamed up at No. 1, defeating Courtney Jones and Darcy Roberts 8-1. Freshman Emily Vest was matched with junior Tanja Buchheim in No. 3 doubles and defeated Tiffany Hampton and Yandy Rose 8-1.
Vest also played No. 6 singles and picked up her second win in duals with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Renita Femer. Freshman Jennifer Klaschka made her way back into singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Cynthia Craig at No. three singles.
Middle Tennessee will be back in action on Thursday when the Lady Raiders take on Niagara University at 2 p.m.
