HILTON HEAD, SC - With a 6-1 win over Niagara University on Thursday, Middle Tennessee women's tennis improved to 10-8 on the season.
The No. 12th ranked duo of Manon Kruse and Stacy Varnell picked up their 26th win of the year with an 8-1 win over Milena Matijevic and Colleen Willick. Freshman Emily Vest won her second straight doubles match when she teamed with Tanja Buchheim, for Middle Tennessee, and defeated Collen Carey and Kendra Daigler.
Middle Tennessee won all the singles matches but one. Freshman Verena Preiss lost at No. 1 singles to Matijevic 6-2, 6-4.
The Lady Raiders will be back in action on Wednesday April 3 when they take on Memphis at 2:30 p.m.
