Middle Tennessee Track and Field Records Five First Place Finishes
March 30, 2002 · MT Media RelationsJunior Kim Freeman posted two first place finished in the meet as she won the long and triple jump. She had a season personal best in the long jump with a leap of 18-07.25 and recorded a 37-01.75 in the triple jump.
In the 200m, Nicolette Jarrett also recorded a season personal best, clocking in a time of 24.50. Lanora Gray tied for third in the 200m with a time of 25.10.
The final first place finish for the women came in the javelin throw, as Kelly Smith notched a throw of 117.00. Freshman Dara McClean placed second in the javelin with a throw of 112.00.
On the men's side, Middle Tennessee boasted one first place finish as sophomore Chris Koger had a leap of 6-08 in the high jump. Fred Williams placed second in the 400m with a time of 48.10.
Wesley Dupar-Scott had a season best in the 100m with a time of 10.59 and placed fourth overall. Geoffrey Lagat came in third in the 1500m with a time of 4:08.80.
