What are Feeds?
A news feed (specifically RSS or Atom feed) gives Internet users a flexible way to gather and manage news sources in today's busy world.
A user can be "subscribed" to the feeds of many web sites at one time, using what is known as a "news reader" to aggregate and sift through the latest information from each site without the inefficencies of browsing for and locating articles.
In other words, subscribing lets you review a large amount of online content in a very short time.
Most of the biggest names on the web offer content feeds including USATODAY.com, BBC News, ABCNews, CNET, Yahoo!, Amazon.com, and many more.
If you have a membership at an Internet portal such as Yahoo, MSN or Google, you are one step away from aggregating online content--just add one the RSS feeds below to your personalized home page!
There are also a number of free or low-cost online, desktop and mobile-based readers available. Refer to this list to help you find an application that's right for you.
