Lighting up the hardwood
Middle Tennessee ended the 2010-11 season second in the East Division of the Sun Belt Conference and advanced to the semifinals of the league tournament after being picked to finish fourth on its side in the majority of preseason polls.
The Blue Raiders return the bulk of their squad for the 2011-12 season and will add a number of solid players to the program in the offseason. Joining the three returning starters will be redshirt-senior LaRon Dendy and redshirt-sophomore Torin Walker, who both had to sit out the 2010-11 season due to the NCAA transfer rule. Dendy, a 6-9 center, and Walker, a 6-11 center, practiced with Middle Tennessee during the year but were not allowed to dress out for games.
The Blue Raiders have the most Sun Belt Conference wins of any league program in the past two seasons with 23.
