#TRUE Blue Summer Tour kicks off July 28th

MURFREESBORO - The Blue Raider marketing team and the entire athletic department is set to kick off the 4th Annual #TRUE Blue Summer Tour starting July 28th. The goal of the #TRUE Blue summer tour is to connect with the community in order to get fans excited about the 2016 season. Each stop will allow fans the opportunity to get autographs from and to mingle with Blue Raider coaches and players and members of the spirit squads. Fans will also be able to pick up season ticket information, posters, schedule cards and various MT Athletics promotional items.
Following is a list of all the events:
July:
27th- State Farm @ 11:00 am – 1:00 pm (State Farm Operations – Employees Only)
28th- McDonald's @ ALL DAY (Memorial Blvd)
Head over to the McDonald's on 1706 Memorial Boulevard and enjoy lunch with your Blue Raider football players and cheerleaders. Also with every purchase at this location, customers will receive a buy, one get one ticket voucher (Reserved Seat) to the September 3rd home opener football game at 6 PM.
29th- Paint the Town Blue @ NOON – 2:00 pm
Be on the look for the 2016 Blue Raider football players and cheerleaders as they paint the town blue. The crew will be hitting the streets distributing schedule posters and schedule cards to local businesses. Fans that spot the crew of blue are encouraged to take pictures and post them via social media using the hashtag #BlueRaiders
29th - Tax Free Weekend
Stop by Stones River Mall and The Avenue to pick up your 2016 MT athletics schedule.
August:
6th – MCS Blast Back to School @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm (Cannonsburgh Village)
Murfreesboro City Schools invites students and families to attend the annual Blast Back to School at Cannonsburgh Village. This free event helps parents and students have a great start to the school year.
14th- Fan Day @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm (Floyd Stadium)
Come to the field of Floyd Stadium for an afternoon full of fun. This event will allow Blue Raider fans the opportunity to meet players and coaches from the football, soccer, volleyball, and tennis teams. Fans will be able to get autographs, pick up their 2016 posters and schedule cards, play on the inflatables, check out local vendors, and enjoy live music by Everyday People, a favorite band of the Nashville/Murfreesboro community. While supplies lasts, there will also be free food and drinks for all to enjoy. The Blue Raider ticket office will be on-site for fans to purchase season tickets and the Blue Raider Athletic Association will also be set up to answer questions and sign up new members.
25th- Business Before Hours @ 7:30 am – 9:00 am (Hendrix Stadium Club)
Join MT Athletics, The Rutherford Chamber of Commerce, and United Way for this informal, social networking event. Listen to guest speakers (Dr. Sidney McPhee, Coach Rick Stockstill and Chris Massaro) and meet other business professionals from across Rutherford County! MORE INFO
27th- Alumni Pig Skin Pregame Event @ 6:00 pm (Batey Farms)
Join MTSU at one of the newest and most beautiful event venues in the Murfreesboro area, The Grove at Williamson Place! The Pigskin Pre-Game is a football season kick-off & scholarship fundraiser. All proceeds raised at Pigskin Pre-Game benefit the Alumni Legacy Scholarship, which is awarded to children or grand-children of MTSU Alumni. MORE INFO
27th- MTSU Fight Song Event @ 8:00 pm (Murphy Center)
If you enjoy music, laughter, dancing, and meeting new people, this is the event for you! MT Organizations take the MTSU Fight Song and put it to song and dance as they compete for the top awards.
September:
2nd- Friday Night on the Square @ 6:30 pm (Rutherford County Courthouse Lawn)
Join the entire MTSU community for a #TRUE Blue Night on the Square. This free event will be not only feature live music, but will also have a special touch of blue to highlight the night as we prepare for our home opener football game the next day!
