Senior Women's Administrator and Associate Director of Athletics Diane Turnham was presented the 2010 King-Hampton Award Tuesday in a ceremony at the James Union Building's Hazelwood Dining Room.

The Association of Faculty and Administrative Women and the June Anderson Women's Center established the King-Hampton Award in 1990. This award honors Miss Jeanette Moore King, a member of the first Middle Tennessee Normal School faculty, and Miss Martha Hampton, first woman administrator at MTSU. The award is presented every two years to an individual from the Middle Tennessee State University community who has made an outstanding contribution to improve the status and equality of women on this campus.
