Helped lead Hillsboro to a 13-1 record, a No. 1 ranking and a spot in the state semifinals in 2000 ... Registered 180 total tackles as a senior, including four 20-tackle games ... Also had five fumble recoveries and forced seven more ... Offensively, Fite rushed for 1,250 yards, had a 7.2 average per carry and scored 12 touchdowns ... During his career, Fite was a two-time All-State selection, two-time Region 5-4A Most Valuable Player, the Tommy Owen Award winner (given annually to the best public school player in Metro Nashville), a two-time captain and was twice named prep Player of the Week by Murphy Fair ...
