2006: Cline sat out the 2006 season and will have two years at Middle Tennessee.

University of Tennessee: Spent two seasons, 2004-05, with the Lady Vol softball program, playing for the club in 2004 and 2005 ... In 2005, she was a member of the UT squad that reached the Women's College World Series for the first time in school history ... Cline scored the lone run in the opening round against then No. 3 Arizona to help UT take a 1-0 victory over the Wildcats in the Women's College World Series in 2005 ... The play was named the Pontiac Game Changing Performance by the ESPN announcing team ... As a sophomore, Cline had a .213 batting average with 29 hits, 29 runs scored, three homeruns and 19 RBI ... She was also 10-for-10 in stolen bases ... In her two seasons at UT, Cline had a career batting average of .236, with 46 hits, 25 RBI and was 12-for-12 in stolen bases ... Named to the Georgia Southern All-Tournament team in 2005 and Compass Bank All-Tournament in 2004 ... Academic All-SEC in 2005.

High School: Was a four-time letterwinner in softball at Gallatin High School who captained the squad every season ... Achieved all-district and all-county four straight times ... Took home her club's Offensive Most Valuable Player award as a sophomore, junior and senior ... As a junior, Ashley, hit an eye-popping .586 with a .688 slugging percentage and 17 extra-base hits with 12 RBI in just 20 games ... In addition, she batted a whopping .458 with a slugging percentage of .690 and drove in 20 runs for her summer team, the Wild Things, whom she led to the 2002 ASA State Championship ... Her Nighthawks AAU Team earned a runner-up finish at the 2001 event ... Also earned a pair of varsity letters in soccer and track while captaining each team ... Holds school records in the 100-meter hurdles, the long jump and was part of the 4x100-meter relay contingent which posted the lowest time ... Member of the National Honor Society, the Future Farmers of America and Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA) while at GHS ... Served as captain of both her school's canned food and magazine drives.
