Noteworthy: Moved from safety to outside linebacker last year ... A returning starter who will push for all-conference honors ... A tough kid who works extremely hard ... Chose MT over Pittsburgh, NC State, Georgia Tech, and Albany State.

2001: Played and started in 10 games (missed the North Texas contest) ... Was third on the team in tackles with a career season-best 54 stops ... Also recorded four tackles for loss, his first career sack and a team-best two fumble recoveries ... Registered a personal-best eight tackles in consecutive games against New Mexico State, Arkansas State, and LSU ... Tallied seven stops against Louisiana-Monroe and six versus Vanderbilt ... Had his first-ever sack against Arkansas State, while recording two TFL's in wins over Idaho and ASU ... Returned a fumble 50 yards for a touchdown at Louisiana-Lafayette ... Voted the team's defensive MVP following the Louisiana-Lafayette game ... Also played on special teams.

2000: Played in nine games, but mainly on special teams ... Saw his most action on defense during the Connecticut game ... Finished the year with 16 total tackles, including one for lost yardage ... Registered four tackles against Connecticut and three each versus Louisiana-Lafayette and Mississippi State ... His TFL came against Connecticut ... Was the Special Teams MVP on three occassions (Maryland, UAB, and Connecticut).

High School: As a senior, Lynch registered 80 tackles in 10 games for Hephzibah ... Also totaled an impressive 17 tackles for loss of yards from his safety position ... Against Northside, which was ranked No. 11 nationally at the time, Lynch returned a punt for a touchdown and a 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown ... Lynch was a two-time all-area performer and was an all-state honorable mention selection in 1999 ... Lynch also ran the 100, 200, 400 relay, and 1600 relay ... Also competed in the high jump and long jump.
