2009: Played in eight games and had one start ... Had 74 total snaps on the season, including a high of 27 against Mississippi State ... Earned three winning grades from the coaching staff ... Completed 13 of 25 passes on the season for 160 yards and two touchdowns ... Broke his hand the last week of fall camp and missed the Clemson, Memphis, and Maryland games ... Played in his first collegiate game at North Texas but did not attempt a pass ... Made his first career start against Mississippi State and completed 7 of 15 passes for 48 yards ... Completed all three of his passes for 47 yards and a touchdown in win over WKU ... Completed his only pass attempt for 20 yards against FIU ... Rushed three times for 10 yards against Louisiana ... Also named the Prep Xtra Offensive Player of the Year by the Knoxville News-Sentinel ... The team captain also earned Maryville Daily Times Player of the Year honors, region 3 4A Most Valuable Player accolades, while also earning TSWA All-State, all-region and all-county recognition ... Completed 228 of 325 passes as a senior for 3,522 yards, 38 touchdowns, and just seven interceptions ... Threw for 6,408 yards and 68 touchdowns during his career ...
