High School: A three-year starter on offense and defense for Coach Don Thomas ... He played defensive tackle, defensive end, tight end and even placekicker ... Pulled down 55 career receptions for 729 yards and 11 touchdowns ... On defense, had 153 career tackles, including 77 as a senior, and had 13 career sacks ... Was 16 for 19 on PATs as a senior ... A three-time all-city and All-Metro tight end ... Huntsville Times Super All-Metro as a senior at tight end ... Named to the Alabama Sportswriters Association all-state team as a defensive lineman in 1998 ... A 1998 team captain, he was voted his team's most valuable receiver ...
