One of the greatest all-around hitters in program history, Abel finished her career holding the school records for most hits (238), singles (186), and total bases (314) ... She has the second most runs scored (105) and walks worked (64), while also holding the third most doubles (37) and triples (6) ... Her 78 career RBIs and batting average (.364) are fourth-highest for a Blue Raider ... Started 51 of 51 games in 2011 at the designated player or outfield position ... Lead the squad in six season offensive categories, including batting average (.387), slugging percentage (.587), on-base percentage (.461), hits (60), doubles (17), RBIs (29) and total bases (91) ...
