Noteworthy: Moved to the inside at the right tackle spot in the spring under new defensive coordinator Steve Davis ... Has improved his speed in the 10, 20 and 40-yard dashes, while also elevating his vertical leap 2.5 inches from a year ago ... Came out of spring drills atop the depth chart at tackle.

2000: Saw action in 10 games ... Did not play at Florida due to a knee injury ... Registered 13 total tackles, including three for loss of yards and three pass breakups ...Equalled his career-high with three tackles against Louisiana-Lafayette ... Had two stops each versus Louisiana-Monroe and Connecticut ... Played a total of 270 snaps, including a season-high 40 against South Florida ... Was in on 37 plays at Connecticut.

1999: Coaches elected to sit him out the first six games of the year in hopes of redshirting for the season, but his progression got him in the lineup for game seven ... Played the final five games of the year, including the last two as a starter at left end ... Registered eight tackles, three pass breakups and a fumble recovery for the year ... Tallied three stops in his first collegiate game at Louisiana Tech.

High School: As a senior he was named all-state, all-region and all-conference while leading Mary Persons to an 11-3 record ... Was tabbed the Defensive Lineman of the Year for the 18-county area in south Georgia ... Led the team in tackles as a senior with 115 total stops (70 solos) ... Also paced the team with 16 sacks and 23 batted passes ... Tallied a personal best 15 tackles in a win over Bleckley County ... Team finished 11-2 his junior year ... Played tight end on offense as a senior.
