2006: Played in just three games as a backup along the offensive line ... Came out of spring drills listed number two at right tackle behind senior Germayle Franklin ... Did not play in opener against FIU or in week two at Maryland ... Was in on 12 plays in win over Tennessee Tech and earned a grade of 75 percent ... Had six snaps at Oklahoma ... Did not play against North Texas and had one play against Louisville ... Did not see action against Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana-Lafayette, FAU, ASU, South Carolina or Troy.

2005: Played in just one game during the season ... Saw action in his first collegiate game during second half of win over Arkansas State.

2004: Took a redshirt year.

High School: Collected 57 tackles as a senior and entered the year as a "Player to Watch" in the preview edition of PrepStar ... Earned the Golden Helmet Award for his outstanding contributions in athletics and academics ... Also garnered two academic awards for basketball ... Selected to play in the Down Under Bowl in Australia (May 2004) ... Along with football, Howard played basketball, wrestled, and competed in track ... In wrestling he won a third place medal for his weight division at the Tara Classic.
