2005 Fall: Competed in all five events and was third on the team with a 73.5 stroke average ... Eight of 15 rounds were 72 or better ... Had back-to-back 69s at the Mason Rudolph Championship (214) to finish tied for 7th ... Matched his career-best round of 67 at the Missouri Bluffs Challenge where he finished 14th overall.

2005 Spring: Played in all seven events and ended the spring third on the team with a 75.3 stroke average ... For the entire year, Nelms was tied for second on the squad with a 75.5 average ... Nelms was the Blue Raiders' top finisher at the Homewood Suites Intercollegiate and the LSU Spring Invitational ... His top round of the spring was a 70 at the Homewood Suites Intercollegiate ... Tied for 25th at the Sun Belt Championships ... Came in seventh at the 2005 Tennessee State Amateur Championship.

2004 Fall: Tied for second on the team with a 75.7 stroke average ... Played in all five tournaments and was the Blue Raiders' top finisher at the Mason Rudolph ... Carded a career-best round of 67 at the Mason Rudolph and went on to tie for 15th overall.

2004 Spring: Earned first team All-Sun Belt honors ... Finished as the team's top golfer with a 75.4 average in the seven tournaments he played ... Fired a career-low round of 68 at the LSU Invitational ... Was the team's top finisher at the UCF/Rio Pinar (T19) and the Dick Wittcoff/USF Invitation (T8).

2003 Fall: The team's top golfer in the fall with a 72.1 stroke average ... Career-best finish was a tie for third at the ULM/Fred Marx Intercollegiate ...Finished in the top seven the final three tournaments ... Stroke average ranked sixth-best in the SBC.

2003 Spring: Played in all seven tournaments and finished with a 77.9 stroke average ... Finished tied for 13th at the Silver Shores Invitational, which was his career-best effort ... Fired a career-low round of 70 in the third round of the LSU Spring Invitational ... Was the Blue Raiders' top finisher at the Sun Belt Championship with a three-day score of 228 to tie for 28th.

2002 Fall: Played in two tournaments and had a combined stroke average of 76.7 ... His top round was a 74 at the Raising Cane Classic.

High School: Attended Baylor School in Chattanooga ... Was all-state in golf in 2000 and 2001 ... Received all-region honors in golf from 1999 to 2001, as well as in basketball (2002).

Personal: Josh is majoring in Mathematics... born May 6, 1984 ... the son of Bill and Janice Nelms.
