2006: Named Second Team All-Sun Belt Conference ... Started 12 games and played in all 13 at linebacker ... Shared the team lead with 69 tackles on the season to go along with 8.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, four pass breakups, an interception, a blocked field goal, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery ... Voted by his teammates as one of four permanent captains ... Made the move back to linebacker from safety in the spring ... Was listed as the starter at WILL linebacker coming out of spring drills ... Collected five tackles and a fumble recovery in the Blue-White Spring Game ... Recorded six tackles, a pass breakup, and a forced fumble in 49 snaps played against FIU ... Had six tackles at Maryland in 55 plays to earn a "winning performance" by the coaches ... Registered four stops, including two for loss of yards in win over Tennessee Tech in 54 plays (was also recognized with a "winning performance") ... Collected four tackles in 62 plays and a pass breakup at Oklahoma ... His lone tackle in shutout win over North Texas was a sack, and he earned a "winning performance" ... 2005: Played in just the first three games of the year ... Had seven total tackles for the season ... In his first game back with the Blue Raiders, Rainey tallied five tackles (three solos) in the season opener at Alabama ... Came back to collect two stops against North Texas ... Missed the final eight games of the year with a knee injury.

2004: Named honorable mention all-Jayhawk Conference as a starter for Hutchinson (Kansas) Community College ... Recorded 86 tackles (66 solos), 13 tackles for loss, two sacks, one fumble recovery, and one forced fumble ... Hutchinson finished 13th nationally in the NJCAA poll.

2003: Played in all 12 games and started the last eight ... Finished eighth on the team in tackles with 46 to go along with three tackles for loss, a sack and a pass breakup ... Played mostly on special teams against FAU, Georgia, Clemson and Missouri ... Earned his first career start against Temple at strong safety and responded with three tackles ... Started against NMSU and had five tackles ... Registered three tackles and a fumble recovery versus North Texas and added four stops at Utah State ... High School: A three-time region 3-4A selection and three-time all-area pick for Northwestern High School ... Rushed for 1,253 yards and 24 touchdowns in helping Northwestern to a 12-4 record and a runner-up finish in Class 4A in 2001 ... Also recorded 24 tackles and an interception on defense from his corner position ... Registered 189 yards rushing on 21 carries and three touchdowns in a game against Burns and still holds the South Carolina state record for touchdowns in a game with five his junior year ...
