Noteworthy: The defense's high energy guy ... Moved from inside linebacker to outside linebacker midway during the 2001 campaign ... Was a medical redshirt in 1999 ... Moved from fullback to linebacker in the spring of 2000 ... A tough, physical player who always gives great effort ... A walk-on to the Blue Raider program who was put on scholarship by Andy McCollum during the fall of 2000.

2001: Saw action in all 11 games and was a starter six times (2 at middle linebacker, 4 at outside linebacker) ... Was 10th on the team in tackles with a career-best 35 ... Also tallied four stops for minus yards, one sack, a fumble recovery and three pass breakups ... Had a season-best five tackles against Troy State, Louisiana-Lafayette, and New Mexico State ... Registered a personal-high two tackles for loss in a win over Troy State ... First career sack came against Troy State ... Recovered a fumble against Arkansas State ... Also played extensively on special teams.
