Freshman All-American selection by Collegiate Baseball after batting .339 in 55 games with 12 doubles, two triples, seven home runs and 35 RBIs ... Leading returning RBI man on squad ... Had 19 multi-hit games, including two four-hit contests and nine three-hit games ... Twice put together 10-game hitting streaks during year and ended season hitting in nine of last 10 contests ... Hit .412 versus lefties and .363 with runners on base ... Also batted. 452 as a leadoff hitter in an inning, .588 with a runner on third and less than two outs, and had 12 two-out RBIs ...
