Noteworthy: Was a late signee in 2000 ... Arrived at fall camp just two days before practice began after driving 538 miles from Gulf Coast CC where he had just completed his final class ... Has a daughter, Tekeria Pettway, who is six years old ... Is expected to have a great year ... With his speed and tenacity, the Blue Raiders' single-season sack mark may be in jeopardy ... Benches 420 and power cleans 319.

2000: Played in all 11 games and started in 10 of those contests (9 at right end, 1 at left end) ... Was seventh on the team in tackles with 44 stops ... Led the Blue Raiders in tackles for loss (9-40), quarterback sacks (5-35) and quarterback hurries (5) ... Had a season-high nine tackles at UAB and two were for loss of yards ... Also collected eight stops against Louisiana Tech and five each against Louisiana-Monroe and Louisiana-Lafayette ... Had a career best two sacks for minus 14 yards against the Indians ...
