2005: Transferred to Middle Tennessee and had to sit out the year due to NCAA transfer rules.

East Carolina: Was a late addition to the 2004 class after initially making a verbal commitment to Northeastern. ... Hofacker changed his mind after being recruited by current Blue Raider linebacker coach Art Kaufman ... Played as a true freshman in all 11 games (did not earn any starts) ... Registered 15 total tackles to go along with one sack (vs Tulane) and a pass breakup ... Had a season-high five tackles against Tulane and tallied two stops each against Wake Forest, Army, and Memphis.

High School: Despite missing a portion of his senior season for knee surgery, Hofacker had 60 tackles, six sacks, four forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery for a 13-2 Eagles team that reached the state semifinals in the 5-A Division II playoffs ...
