Q&A with Coach Randall McCray

Randall McCray joined the Middle Tennessee football staff in February as the Defensive Coordinator, replacing Manny Diaz. McCray came to Middle Tennessee from Wisconsin where he coached defensive line, linebackers and safeties and was also the recruiting coordinator in his four years with the Badgers. Here are his responses to questions in an interview during the first week of spring practice:

Pro Day huge success for Blue Raiders

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - More than two dozen professional football scouts were on hand at Middle Tennessee to watch the outgoing seniors work out at the annual Pro Day on Thursday. It was by far the most in Blue Raider history, and is another indicator of the growth of the Middle Tennessee football program.

Middle Tennessee held its annual Pro Day on Thursday and a record 23 scouts from 22 NFL teams were on hand. Also, representatives from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Nashville Storm made the trip to Murfreesboro.

Raiders go through second practice

Middle Tennessee was back at Floyd Stadium on Wednesday for the second of 15 spring practices. The team will take Thursday off before returning to drills on Friday.

Pro Day set for Thursday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee will hold its annual Pro Day on Thursday, March 18, 2010. Players are scheduled to be at Floyd Stadium at approximately 12:30 p.m. to begin the outside testing.
