NASHVILLE – Middle Tennessee sophomore golfer Brett Patterson was listed as one of five nominees for the Ed Temple Male Amateur Athlete Award for the 14th Annual Pepsi Celebration of Champions presented by Kroger it was announced this week by the Nashville Sports Council.

PHOENIX, Ariz. – The 2011 Patriot All-America has finalized the field of golfers for its 54-hole collegiate golf tournament that will be played Dec. 28-30 at Wigwam Golf Club in Litchfield Park, Ariz., and Middle Tennessee’s Hunter Green will represent the Blue Raiders. The field will feature 84 collegiate golfers from across the nation, and includes 21 of the world’s top-100 ranked amateurs.

VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. – Middle Tennessee finished ninth among a highly-rated field at the 2011 Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate. The Blue Raiders had a 297 in the final round at the par 70 Old Overton Golf Club (6,936 yards) on Tuesday to wrap-up their fall season.

VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. – Middle Tennessee fired rounds of 289 and 292 during the first day of the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate to stand in eighth place entering the final round. A field consisting of six teams in the top 31 nationally, played the Old Overton Country Club course which is a par 70 at 6,936 yards.

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee’s mission entering its second fall tournament was to put the first one in the rearview mirror. Mission accomplished.

The Blue Raiders shot the 14th best round in school history with a 5-under par 279 to win the Mason Rudolph Championship for the second time in three years. MT had a 54-hole total of 844 to win by one stroke over Mississippi and the 844 was the fourth best three-round score in school history.
