One of 30 on the initial list
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Middle Tennessee senior forward Alysha Clark was recognized as one of 30 candidates on the initial list Wednesday for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence - classroom, character, community and competition.

Associated Press recognizes senior forward
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee women's basketball continues to receive preseason praise from various sources this week, as the Associated Press touted redshirt senior forward Alysha Clark as an Honorable Mention All-American and the Blue Raiders earned a No. 26 national ranking in the preseason ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - No. 24 Middle Tennessee fought through a sloppy game in which it turned the ball over 26 times, but the Blue Raiders forced 33 ball changes by visiting Carson-Newman in prevailing 96-68 in the exhibition opener for both teams Monday night inside the Murphy Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Middle Tennessee earns No. 24 ranking
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee women's basketball earned 143 votes for the No. 24 position in the preseason Associated Press poll released Friday, marking the first time in school history the Blue Raiders have been placed in the preseason poll.
