GULF SHORES, Ala. - Middle Tennessee finished fifth at the UAB Fall Beach Blast to conclude its fall season. The Blue Raiders had a disappointing day on Tuesday by shooting a 315 to finish the 36-hole event with a 612.

Final round set for Tuesday

GULFSHORES, Ala.  - Middle Tennessee shot a fall-best round of 297 to take a three-shot lead at the 2009 UAB Fall Beach Blast. The Blue Raiders placed three players in the top five of the 36-hole event that will conclude on Tuesday.

36-hole event begins Monday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - With perhaps their best chance to win a tournament on their fall schedule, the Middle Tennessee women's golf team will travel to Gulf Shores, AL, to close out fall activity in the UAB Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.

Tournament shortened to 18 holes

SAN ANTONIO, Tex. - Middle Tennessee's women's golf team carded a 317 on Tuesday to finish 10th at the Alamo Invitational. The tournament, played on the par 72 Briggs Ranch Golf Course, was shortened to just 18 holes due to rain on Monday.

Play begins Monday at UTSA Invitational

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Looking for a faster start, the Middle Tennessee women's golf team will be competing in the UTSA Invitational in San Antonio, Texas on Monday and Tuesday.

"We have got to get out of the gate a little better than we have been," said Coach Chris Adams. "Only once this fall have we shot well in the first round than we did in the second."

Raiders shoot second-best round of day

FISHERS, Ind. - Middle Tennessee shot the second-best round of the day and the fourth-best of the tournament to tie for sixth at the Duramed MAC Preview on Tuesday. The Blue Raiders carded a 308 on the par 72 Hawthorns Golf and Country Club to finish with a 54-hole score of 950.
