Mueggler scores team's only goal
BOCA RATON, Fla. - No. 4 seed Middle Tennessee scored first but could not hold back a rally from North Texas as the Blue Raiders fell 2-1 Wednesday afternoon in the quarterfinal round of the Sun Belt Tournament at the FAU Soccer Complex in Boca Raton, Fla. The fifth-seeded Middle Tennessee squad ends its season at 12-6-2, tied for the third best record in school history.

Jones named first team; Mueggler selected second team
NEW ORLEANS - A pair of Middle Tennessee soccer players were named to the postseason all-league teams, as sophomore Shan Jones earned First Team All-Sun Belt honors and junior Vanessa Mueggler garnered Second Team All-Sun Belt accolades. Both awards, which were given out at the pre-Sun Belt Tournament banquet in Boca Raton Tuesday night, are the second in their respective careers.

Middle Tennessee enters with third best record in school history

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee soccer, in the midst of its third-best season in school history, will open Sun Belt Tournament action at Noon Wednesday as the No. 5 seed against No. 4 seed North Texas at the FAU Soccer Complex in Boca Raton, Fla. The Blue Raiders are making their 10th consecutive appearance in the field, advancing to the tournament each year since joining the league in 2000-01.
