Event set for 5 PM Saturday
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The annual Middle Tennessee soccer alumni game will be played Saturday at 5 PM at the Middle Tennessee Soccer Complex. Head Coach Aston Rhoden expects one of the largest groups of returning alumni for the game with 15-to-20 former players participating.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee soccer coach Aston Rhoden has announced the 2008 signing class and it includes incredible depth with 10 players entering the Blue Raider program. The signing class includes Laura Lamberth (White House, Tenn.), Elisabeth Sikes (Huntsville, Ala.), Jenna Bowers (Chandler, Az.), Charity Blair (Chattanooga, Tenn.), Jessica Heckman (Overland Park, Kan.), Ashli Julien (Columbus, Ga.), Heather McDonnell (Bedfordshire, England), Regina Thomas (Centennial, Colo.), Alyssa Palmacci (Plano, Texas), and Hope Suominen (Pontpridd, Wales).

Duo highly-successful on, off field
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee soccer players Holly Grogan and Kala Morgan have been named to the 2007 NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-South Region team. Grogan earned a spot on the All-South Region team for the second year while Morgan is on the team for the first time in her stellar Blue Raider career. The talented duo completed their Middle Tennessee career as two of the top performers in program history.

Blue Raiders honored for sixth consecutive time under Rhoden
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's soccer team has been awarded the prestigious National Soccer Coaches of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the sixth consecutive year under head coach Aston Rhoden. The award is given annually to teams who demonstrate exemplary performance in the classroom and qualifying teams must produce a 3.0 team grade point average or higher.

Penalty kicks don't go Blue Raiders' way against UALR
MOBILE, Ala. - Middle Tennessee fell victim to the upset bug in its opening match of the Sun Belt Conference Soccer Championships, losing in a penalty kick shootout after battling through a scoreless draw against No. 7 seed UALR. The No. 2 seeded Blue Raiders finished the season at 10-5-5.
