Chemaoi named Freshman of the Year, Sangau is women's Top Meet Scorer
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's Carl Morgan and Sarah Nambawa were both voted Most Outstanding Field Performer while Festus Chemaoi was named Freshman of the Year and Zamzam Sangau was the Top Women's Meet Scorer at the Sun Belt Track and Field Championships this past weekend in Denton, Texas.

Men finish second, women third at SBC meet
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Sophomore Sarah Nambawa and junior Carl Morgan both won the long jump, sophomore Zamzam Sangau was first in the 1500-meters and sophomore William Songock posted a victory in the 5000-meters, but both Middle Tennessee track teams simply ran out of gas, as the men finished second and the women placed third Sunday at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships in Denton, Texas.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Sophomore MeLyn Thompson won the shot put for the second straight year and freshman Festus Chemaoi was victorious in the final event of the night, the 3000-meter steeplechase, while sophomores Brittany Cox and Sarah Nambawa and junior Carl Morgan all placed second in field events, leading Middle Tennessee's track teams on Saturday at the Sun Belt Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Denton, Texas.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Sophomore Brittany Cox set a personal-best in winning the discus, sophomore William Songock was second in the 10000-meters and junior Ashleigh Thaler placed fourth in the 10000, leading Middle Tennessee's track teams Friday at the Sun Belt Track and Field Championships in Denton, Texas.
