Matt Langley is in his first year as an assistant coach for the MT Women’s Tennis program. A heralded Blue Raider student-athlete, Langley became the first men’s tennis athlete to earn Capital One Academic All-America honors in 2011 and 2012.
Langley helped the Blue Raiders to three Sun Belt Championships in 2009, 2011 and 2012. The West Beach, Australia native collected 49 victories during his four-year career.
In 2011 and 2012, Langley played a pivotal role in the Raiders’ back-to-back Sun Belt Championships. He won in straight sets at No. 2 singles against South Alabama in 2012 and picked up a straight-set victory against the Jaguars No. 3 player in 2011.
During his senior year, Langley was tabbed the MTSU International Student Athlete of the Year. Additionally, Langley earned a spot on the ITA All-Academic team for two consecutive years.
Langley graduated from Middle Tennessee in 2012 with a perfect 4.0 GPA in Exercise Science.
